Proverbs 17:12
"Let a man meet a bear robbed of her cubs,
Rather than a fool in his folly."
One summer day, a man was hiking in the woods. Unbeknownst to him, a bear was just around the corner.
Upon rounding the corner, the man gasped in fear- there was an enourmous bear! The man noticed the jagged lines of its ribcage... it looked very hungry.
Being completely unschooled in the ways of bear safety, the man turned around and ran for his life. The famished beast followed fast behind, grunting and bellowing.
Unable to stay ahead of his pursuer for much longer, the man scrambled up a pine tree as fast as his little limbs could lift him.
Unfortuneately, bears are excellent tree climbers. Excellent.
Thick drops of sweat ran down the man's face. With nowhere else to go, the man cried out to His Savior: "God," He prayed, "Please let this bear be a Christian."
As scrawny Mr. Bear clambered upwards, he said to himself: "Thank you Lord, for this meal that I am about to eat."
